I returned from our journey to Alaska and promptly tested positive for Covid. This, despite 5 vaccine shots over a couple of years, and the official “end” of the pandemic.
It was difficult finding Covid tests at the local pharmacies. We are still awash in hand sanitizer though. We have a lifetime supply of masks stashed at home.
Fortunately for me it was a mild case (chest congestion and cough) and I could isolate from the household (one of my favorite pastimes in any event.) I did my part and stayed away from the office, conducting affairs remotely. (That muscle memory kicked in well.)
I hear from folks who are getting reinfected, for second, third and more times. None seriously, thankfully. I also hear and read the continued nonsense spewed by some.
Maybe they should head for the frontier. Bon voyage!

Get well soon and I hope you had a wonderful voyage up to Alaska, despite Covid. Best, Lisa
