Sometimes, words fail me. This is one of those times.
It’s not that I am plumb out of things to say; it’s more that I feel I am repeating myself. The world is on fire and sharing more of the same old words seems an inadequate response.
So, to change things up, sharing some photos of mine and the words of others will have to suffice this week.

“Perhaps the whole root of our trouble, the human trouble, is that we will sacrifice all the beauty of our lives, will imprison ourselves in totems, taboos, crosses, blood sacrifices, steeples, mosques, races, armies, flags, nations, in order to deny the fact of death, which is the only fact we have. It seems to me that one ought to rejoice in the fact of death-ought to decide, indeed, to earn one's death by confronting with passion the conundrum of life. One is responsible to life: It is the small beacon in that terrifying darkness from which we come and to which we shall return. One must negotiate this passage as nobly as possible, for the sake of those who are coming after us. “ - James Baldwin
“If you plan on being anything less than you are capable of being, you will probably be unhappy all the days of your life.” - Abraham Maslow
"When we remember we are all mad, the mysteries disappear and life stands explained." - Mark Twain.
"Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home - so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world ... Such are the places where every man, woman and child seeks equal justice, equal opportunity, equal dignity without discrimination. Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere." - Eleanor Roosevelt
Freedom......it seems appropriate that we should start the day thinking of freedom, for those of us who take it for granted and for those whose freedom has been denied. A commitment to freedom for all in these harrowing times is our pledge.
You have a superb thesaurus! And great taste in music!
