What fresh… is a compendium of moments. Some work, all life. It is notes on a work very much in progress.

This journal has morphed from a collection of stories and vignettes about the intersection of organizational and personal life, to one more focused on the vagaries of building communities, one affordable home at a time, via a rural Habitat for Humanity affiliate.

Over my career, I’ve done a lot and seen even more. For several decades, I had a seat at the table with many large global organizations, which has given me a macro perspective on everyday issues. I’m always happy to share what I think I am seeing, and what lessons I am learning.

Props to Dorothy Parker, whose quip “what fresh hell can this be?” when she answered the doorbell, inspired this title.
