I remember the first time I used the word "duvet." I do not have French. I pronounced it "DOO-vet," with "vet" as in "veteran." A friend told me, also sotto voce, that, being from the French, it way pronounced "dew-VAY" Haven't forgotten that. I always thought that the song "Red River Valley" was about my Minnesota home, the Red River of the north. Wondered why there were cowboys, but I figured it was poetic license. You are, once again, spot on. Well done, Al!
